Poetry events in Baltimore, the way they should feel.

Words, Wings & Wine started in 2019 as a poetry night with about 50 people. Seven years later it's a 400-plus room downtown, and spoken word is still the heartbeat.

Spoken word, front and center

Poetry is where this started. HeyTyce, a Baltimore poet, built WWW to give poets a real stage. Real lighting, real sound, reserved seats and a room that came to listen.

The kind of quiet where you can hear a line land. Then the kind of loud that tells the poet it did.

More than a reading

A WWW night runs four hours. Featured poets and comedians, live music, a DJ, a painter finishing a canvas beside the stage, a paid open mic, wings and a curated vendor floor.

Poetry anchors it. Everything else makes it a night out.

Who's taken this stage

More than 400 poets, comedians, singers and creatives from across the country have performed at WWW. In 2025 the Baltimore Crown Awards named it Open Mic of the Year.

Be in the room, or on the mic

Every show has a paid open mic. Buy a ticket, sign up at the DJ booth, and you're on the list.

Poets looking for a feature slot can submit for 2027.
