Creator of Trap Poetry, Matt Capone is a Southeast D.C. native known for savvy wordplay, magnetic stage presence, and a voice that bridges the streets and the page. He picked up the pen at age 7, hit his first open mic before his teens, and has since toured across the country — headlining stages from Punchlines in Philly and Pure Poetry DC to SpeakUpSeries in ATL and The Rose Garden in New York — fresh off his feature on "On The Radar." As host, curator, and owner of Trap Poetry DMV, he's built a following of 135K+ with one mission: uplifting his people through poetry.
(she/they) is a Black queer writer, multimedia artist, and social justice advocate whose work is deeply personal, fiercely honest, and impossible to ignore. A four-time Womxn of the World Poetry Slam finalist and published author, she explores Black womanhood, queer identity, faith, grief, and liberation through poetry, photography, film, and collage. Her performances have been featured by Button Poetry, with sets at WoWPS and the Stonewall International Poetry Slam in Baltimore.
